Our Curriculum

At Rickley Park Primary School we aim to provide a balanced, stimulating and inspiring curriculum which develops a breadth of knowledge and relevant skills for the future and includes the following experiences which will reflect the diversity of our community.

As a school which teaches children aged 3 to 11 with a range of ability levels, staff employ a variety of teaching styles and approaches with pupils, including whole class, small group and personalized learning strategies.

Our taught curriculum is essentially planned and delivered through 3 'Key Stages'.

·         EYFS  Early Years and Foundation Stage  -  Nursery / Reception

·         Key Stage 1  -  Years 1 and 2

·         Key Stage 2   -  Years 3, 4, 5 and 6

In the Early Years we follow a programme of learning in accordance with the principles of the Early Years Foundation stage.
